England forward Harry Kane commented on the draw with the USA (0:0) in the match of the 2nd round of the 2022 World Cup:
“It was not our best performance. We had good possession of the ball, but we didn’t have the final component. We lacked teamwork, unlike the game with Iran. We had two or three scoring chances, but we didn’t convert them. The US team put pressure well, created difficulties.
We know we can play better. A draw at the World Cup is not bad, no game is easy. After our first performance, people think we’re going to crush everyone, but we’re not.”
In the decisive round on November 29, England (4 points) will play against Wales (1 point), and the USA (2 points) will meet with Iran (3 points).
