November 26th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. by Valentin Sattler – EKWB has presented the EK-Quantum Vector² Arc A750/A770, a full-cover water cooler for Intel’s Arc A750 and A770. With regard to the price of the graphics cards, the cooler is quite expensive.
Although Intel’s Arc desktop graphics cards have now officially appeared and are also available, the models are not a breakthrough. Apart from modern titles, the two top models Arc A750 and Arc A770 still have (driver) problems to contend with, and the model can hardly be recommended as a retrofit graphics card for old systems without support for Resizable BAR. The first Arc graphics cards are therefore particularly exciting for nerds who like to experiment. The well-known water cooling specialist EK Water Blocks has now announced a corresponding water cooler for these, but it is comparatively expensive.
Vector² cooler for Arc A750/770
Specifically, EKWB presented the EK-Quantum Vector² Arc A750/A770: A full-cover water cooler that should fit the reference design of the Arc A750 or A770. With a TDP of 225 watts, the two graphics cards are not necessarily in the usual water cooling ranges, but of course that doesn’t stop hobbyists. And in the absence of a water-cooled custom model – or even a significant number of cooler variations, the EK-Quantum Vector² Arc A750/A770 could definitely find one or the other customer.

EKWB advertises the Vector², among other things, with the use of a nickel-plated and 11 mm thick copper plate into which the cooling channels have been milled. The company wants to have designed the cooler for a comparatively low flow resistance, so that the Vector² should also be able to cope with weak pumps or low speeds. In addition, the full-cover cooler is advertised with an acrylic cover, ARGB lighting and a black anodized aluminum backplate.

Unfortunately, EKWB did not reveal how well the Arc A770 and the Arc A750 can be cooled with the water cooler. However, since the two models do not get too warm even with the reference cooler, there should hardly be any problems here. However, the price could be a deterrent, because according to EKWB, the EK-Quantum Vector² Arc A750/A770 will cost 240 euros when it goes on sale in mid-December. For comparison: The Arc A770 from Asrock is currently available from Mindfactory for 379 euros. For the combined price, for example, you currently get a Radeon RX 6800 that is not water-cooled but is significantly faster.
