On the sidelines of this offer, we do not forget the current titles for which it is possible that the preferential rates of the moment will tempt you in order to discover or prolong memories and memorable moments of the adventures of the two companions and their futuristic worlds.
On the menu of episodes available in Premium this month, we start of course with Ratchet & Clank | PS2. Very first chapter of the series, it naturally sets the scene and the characters that are Ratcheta mechanical “lombax” from the planet Veldin, and Clanka robot resulting from a manufacturing error on the planet Quartu.
Numbered B5429761, it comes from a factory belonging to the President Dr, a “blarg” capable of any meanness after his own planet, Orxon, became overpopulated and above all overpolluted. Without too much surprise, the latter comes to wear the cap of sworn enemy of the improbable pair, after Clank comes crashing into the house of Ratchet, who was about to leave aboard a spacecraft freshly built by him. Side gameplaythe game resumes and perfects a game mode of 3D platformer in third person view. At the controls of Ratchet, armed with an adjustable wrench and with Clank on your back, you set off on your way to save your universe.
In Ratchet & Clank 2 | PS2 et Ratchet & Clank 3 | PS2, released in 2003 and 2004 respectively, the story of the two heroes continues logically. The new villain, or so it is believed, is called Abercombie Fizzwidget, the boss of Megacorp, a large conglomerate that has become ubiquitous throughout the galaxy. We also meet a new ally, a lombax named Angela Crossas well as a fallen superhero, the Captain Qwark, who will return in the third episode. It is that we meet a new major antagonist, the Dr Nefarious, as well as the hilarious ‘Courtney Gearsrobotic inspiration from a certain Britney Spears.
Also included in the Premium offer since this month, Ratchet : Gladiator, fourth and last PS2 game of the franchise released in 2005 features, as its name may suggest, Ratchet all alone. Putting a little more action than adventure and history, this chapter therefore finds the galactic hero lombax captured by a media empire called Pox Industries, to participate by force in a reality show called DreadZone, in which he will have to survive in a hostile environment where he will of course be attacked by many enemies.
Finally, it is possible to stream the first PS3 episode released in 2007, Ratchet & Clank: Operation Destructionwhere the two protagonists resume service together, and where we discover a new galaxy, Polaris. First saved by the Lumbax people from the yoke of the terrible cragmites, the latter eventually regain the upper hand thanks to their new leader, the Emperor Perceval Tachyon. Yet raised by the lombax, he deeply hates them to the point of wanting to eliminate them all to the last, whom he wrongly believes to be Ratchet.
