Street Fighter 6 it’s not exactly a shy game, since it has already shown itself widely in many gameplay videos, even letting itself be played in a Closed Beta, as well as at the Milan Games Week, a fair that opened its doors yesterday November 25th. Nonetheless, there is crucial information that is still missing: the release date.
Street Fighter 6 is currently expected on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC for a generic 2023, but it is possible that the announcement of the date is just around the corner. Capcom’s fighting game has just appeared in the database of the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, a commission that evaluates and classifies video games intended to be marketed in South Korea (Street Fighter 6 can be played by children over 15 years of age) . Preparations for the launch have evidently already begun, therefore it is possible that Capcom is finally ready to reveal the final release date.
Furthermore, the registration in Korea took place with more than suspicious timing: in a few days, more precisely in the night between 8 and 9 December, the Game Awards 2022 show will be broadcast, usually a harbinger of big announcements. We would not be surprised at all if Capcom had decided to tread such an important media stage to reveal the date of its flagship fighting game. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to find out more.
