We recently reported that the next Elder Scrolls will most likely not appear on the Playstation. At least that is what the correspondence between Microsoft and the CMA, the UK competition authority, suggests. But an interesting aspect was deleted from the document, on which numerous reports about the possible exclusivity of the title were based. The document was not published online by Microsoft but by the UK government. And in the same section in which “medium-sized games” and Elder Scrolls are discussed, there is no original information about the release period of the sixth part of the series.
The UK Government and Elder Scrolls 6
Literally it says in the document: “Titles like Elder Scrolls 6 (the release of which is not before [ausgeschnitten] is expected, and the last part of which was released in 2011), as well as other future titles do not imply that Microsoft will in the future on annual revenues from [ausgeschnitten] USD waived by Playstation customers or [ausgeschnitten] Alienated million MAU on Playstation.”
Since the CMA is a non-ministerial part of the UK government, it’s fair to say that the UK government currently knows more about the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 (buy now) than we do. But Microsoft will most likely not have given an exact day. The extent to which this information is ultimately realistic compared to the CMA is also a completely different piece of paper.

Relatively little is currently known about the next part of the series. Bethesda’s current focus is undoubtedly on the space title Starfield. But if another Skyrim version is not released at full price, there are a number of interesting and creative mods for the series, which we have already reported on.
