On Sunday, November 27, in the match of the 15th round, the championship outsiders from Lviv will host Kolos. This will be the sixth meeting of the opponents in the UPL, and not a single draw has been recorded in the previous ones.
“Lviv” after the defeat from “Ingulets” slipped to the last line of the championship standings. The wards of Oleg Dulub approached the battle with Kolos with a home pass club record series, which lasts 10 games – 20 goals. For the Belarusian Oleg Dulub, by the way, this will be the 60th match at the helm of various UPL clubs.
The “highlight” of the match is that Kolos’ player Oleksiy Zozulya played for Lviv in the last championship. Due to the removal from the field in the last round, one of the key players of Lviv, Maxim Grisio, will miss the game.
“Kolos” will come to Lviv with two unbeaten streaks in the championship: both overall, lasting four games (draw and three losses), and on the opponents’ fields – 5 games (two draws and three losses). In Lviv, Kolos can score the 100th (!) goal in the UPL, and for this, only one accurate shot from the Kovalev team is missing.
Head coach Yaroslav Vishnyak will play his 20th match in the championships on the Kolos coaching bench. Due to the bust of yellow cards, Belarusian Nikolai Zolotov will not be able to enter the field.
In the UPL, the opponents played five matches, in which Lviv celebrated victories twice and Kolos three times. By the way, the Kovalevites scored one of their two biggest UPL victories over Lviv – 4:0 (in September 2020). The last time the Citizens hosted the Black and Whites was on February 20, 2021 at the Arena Lviv and lost with a score of 0:2. Then the victory of the guests was brought by a double of the current player of the Kovalevsky team Pavel Orikhovsky.
Yuriy Ivanov (Donetsk region), who played 35 games in the UPL, was appointed referee of the match. Earlier, under Ivanov, Lviv played four matches in the championships, scoring one victory, drawing once and losing twice to rivals. Kolos, with this referee, will play its 10th game in the UPL, and the balance of previous matches is as follows: two wins, two draws and five losses.
