The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo, a new concept car that will make its first appearance in Gran Turismo 7, has been revealed since this weekend’s GT World Series Finals and will be an important addition to the in-game car fleet.
On the other hand, this is an important event, and this presentation worthily marks the 25th anniversary of the Polyphony Digital series, with the announcement and official presentation of the concept car from Maranello.
While we wait for the official trailer from Sony, we can watch the first video recorded directly from the live stream of the GT World Series where the car was unveiled.
It’s a car with a very futuristic shape, as befits a concept car of this kind. Pretty close to the Ferrari 499P, Ferrari’s new racing hypercar designed for Le Mans and the WEC, which debuts in 2023, the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo features extreme lines and a decidedly aggressive look.
“We started the Vision GT project 9 years ago and finally we have the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo,” Kazunori Yamauchi of Polyphony Digital said of the project. in Maranello to meet Manzoni, it’s a dream come true and an exciting time for us.
Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari Senior Vice President of Design, was present at the presentation and said: “Our team started two and a half years ago. This is very important for me and for Ferarri, because it informs the future of the brand. The idea was that to imagine what shape the supercar of the future could take, and it wasn’t easy. It was a project that involved several Ferrari departments, especially those related to engineering and aerodynamics, which together defined the concept of this car.”
The design is reportedly inspired by the work of Anish Kapoor and also features an original interior, starting with the steering wheel. As for the engine, its power has been pushed to the limit: 1030 kW (1015.8 hp) at 9000 rpm, and an additional 240 kW (321.5 hp) are squeezed out by three electric motors.
