The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is about to receive its “next gen” upgrade at PS5 e Xbox Series X|Swhich will arrive on December 14 bringing with it several graphical improvements and there is a new video comparison with the original which tries to highlight these differences more clearly.
In this case it is a montage by ElAnalistaDeBits, rather specialized in this kind of thing, which manages to compare in a very direct and precise way the same scenes seen in the gameplay trailer of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version published by CD Projekt RED with those taken from the original version.
Even in the video in question the differences are quite evident, as had emerged in the previous video on the improvements of the new version in comparison with the original.
Much of the difference is in the complexity of the scenarios even over long distances, but a large effect also comes from the application of global illumination in ray tracing.
The new versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S will offer 4K modes, 60 fps modes and support for AMD FSR 2.0, as well as several changes applied to the game in terms of “quality of life”, to improve its use. The game can be purchased in this new version, but those who already own it on PS4 and Xbox One will receive the free upgrade, as will also happen on PC.
Among other new features we find reflections through screen space reflection, new options for the camera, including a shot now closer to the shoulders of the protagonist, large improvements to the vegetation and draw distance and many other features.
