Monobank co-founder Oleg Horokhovskyi shared statistics on the results of sales on the occasion of Black Friday in his Telegram channel.
Volume of purchases
During the week from November 21 to 27, monobank clients together made 17.7 million purchases for a total amount of UAH 8.4 billion. For comparison, in the period from November 22 to 28, 2021, 20 million purchases were made for UAH 6.5 billion, and for the period from November 23 to 29, 2020, 11.8 million purchases were made for UAH 3.5 billion. That is, over the previous year, the number of purchases during the sales period on the occasion of “Black Friday” decreased slightly, but the amount increased significantly, which is even somewhat unexpected, considering our realities.
Purchase in parts
The co-founder of monobank singled out the number of purchases and the amount of expenses of customers who bought on credit and under the “Purchase in installments” program: in 2021, there were 127,000 purchases for UAH 1.1 billion, and in 2022 – 51,000 applications for UAH 0.4 billion. 70.8% of such purchases were made online. The leader is Rozetka, both in terms of quantity and amount. The most expensive check is Citrus (114,999 UAH), and Samsungshop (24 months) and Epicenter (23 months) have the longest repayment period.
Most often, Ukrainians bought smartphones for payments — 1,176 units. Power banks are in second place with 1,096 units, and the iPhone (they were singled out) rounds out the top three with 562 units. Large portable stations such as EcoFlow or Bluetti were not far behind the iPhone — 523 units were bought.

By the way, the number of monobank clients also increased significantly over the year — from 4.5 million in November 2021 to 6.5+ million in November 2022.
