Launched in April 2020, Half-Life: Alyx (with almost 1 million VR headsets added by Steam users in a month) is still the best VR game experience, so it’s no surprise that many will be excited about its expansion. Until Valve announces a sequel, third-party developers may offer their own content options.
Levitation, the new single-player mod for Half-Life Alyx, not only expands on the history of Valve’s latest version, but also deserves praise for its gameplay.

The free mod contains 3-4 hours of additional story content, as well as new voice acting and animation. At the time of writing, Levitation has a perfect five-star rating based on 698 ratings. In the comments, the work of the FMPONE level designer is positively noted, given that Levitation was only announced at the beginning of this year.
In short, the mod sends the player to a mysterious section of X City 17 to investigate a levitating building where two members of the Resistance have disappeared.
You can download the add-on by subscribing to the mod on its Steam Workshop page. Once you install the first part, Steam will automatically download the other four as you play. Important – You will need a copy of Half-Life: Alyx and a compatible VR headset.

Half-Life: Alyx is a virtual reality first-person shooter video game developed by Valve and published for Windows on March 23, 2020. It is the first game in the main Half-Life series since the release of Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and chronologically covers the events leading up to Half-Life 2. Valve has described its VR game as “flagship” and was developed using the Source Engine 2 and supports all PC-compatible VR headsets. The main character is Alyx Vance, who, along with her father, Eli, is fighting the occupying Alliance regime. They are looking for a mysterious weapon, hoping that it will help in the liberation of the planet.
