The first edition of the Rainbow Six Siege Italian Cup ended with the final at the Milan Games Week & Cartoomics: on the evening of Friday 25 November 2022 the Mkers defeated 4real becoming the first holders of the Italian Cup organized by PG Esports.
After months of challenges it was the Mkers and 4real who clashed over the coveted trophy, with fans setting the PG Arena ablaze inciting their favorites to the last round. For most of the match, the two teams faced each other in an extremely balanced way, also thanks to the chosen maps that allowed the teams to express themselves at their best both in the defensive and offensive phases. With one match each, it was the last map, Clubhouse, that decided the tide of the match.
After a start in which it seemed it was made for the Mkers, the 4real reacted, making the first match point vanish. THE Mkers still had the upper hand in the finalbecoming the first champions of the Italian Cup and repeating the success achieved at this summer’s PG Nats, confirming themselves once again as points of reference on the national and international competitive scene.
With such a hard-fought challenge, 4real proved to be a new but extremely close-knit team, capable of giving a hard time for teams with many more years of experience. Despite coming from Be Serious, the minor league of the championship, the great skill and competence demonstrated are proof of how the entire Italian competitive scene of Rainbow Six Siege should be considered of a high level and capable of guaranteeing hours and hours of entertainment.
