Sega has released the first update for “Sonic Frontiers” – but initially only for Playstation players. You can read details here.
Sega has released the first update for the recently released “Sonic Frontiers” on the Playstation consoles. It should fix some bugs and improve the game’s technology a bit. It is also intended to fix an issue where some players’ island bosses disappeared after restarting the battle.
The exact patch notes can be viewed on the Twitter channel “Tails’ Channel”. We’re talking about fixing random crashes, audio, gameplay, and UI issues, and improving performance.
The update is also intended to reduce the number of pop-ins when running around the world. Many players have complained about this since release and Sega now seems to have responded to this criticism.

Technical problems since release
A major patch has been awaited since the release on November 8th, as “Sonic Frontiers” looked pretty unfinished at the beginning. In addition, many players complained about an error with the pre-order DLCs, which could no longer be downloaded after starting the game once.
Some of these issues are now fixed with the 1.10 update. While most are very pleased with the improvements, there continue to be many suggestions from fans to further improve the quality of the latest installment in the Sonic franchise. So there will almost certainly be several more revisions from the developers.

Patch 1.10 is currently only available for PS4 and PS5 players, but it should also be rolled out for the other platforms in the “near future”. Playstation owners can download it now.
“Sonic Frontiers” has been available since November 8, 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
