In March of this year, Ubisoft announced that it was postponing the real-time strategy game The Settlers indefinitely. Now the developers have announced the exact release date – February 17, 2023. The new name of the game, The Settlers: New Allies, has also become known.
Initially, the project will be available only on PC, but a console version will be released later. The strategy will appear on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and the Amazon Luna cloud service. When exactly this will happen is not specified.
The Settlers: New Allies includes three game modes:
Single Player Campaign – The storyline sees the Elari forced to flee their homeland and must now settle in new and unknown territories. Hardcore Mode – Offers a wide range of modifiers and conditions that will make the AI even more difficult to face. Skirmish – Single Player vs. AI, Co-op against AI and PvP with up to eight people. There will be 12 maps available at launch.
Ubisoft will be hosting a livestream on December 1 at 10:00 AM PT to reveal even more details about the game.
