After renewing the brands of Tekken, SoulCalibur, Pac-Man and Ace Combat, the leaders of Bandai Namco put their signature on a new video game brand.
Specifically, the Japanese company has taken steps to register a new intellectual property in Europe. Let’s talk specifically about the wording “Fires of Rubicon”, which we can translate as “Flames of the Rubicon”. The reference to the Italian river does not seem to be linked to productions that are part of the current line-up of Bandai Namco. The hypothesis is therefore that of a possible title or subtitle of a new game published by the publisher and again unannounced to the public.
Pending any news on the matter – which could come, for example, through the World Premiere of The Game Awards 2022 -, we also report a second recording, signed this time by Capcom. The company of the Rising Sun has in fact taken steps to reserve the brand for itself Capcom Box. However, the latter does not seem to be connected to specific past or future video games. On the other hand, a possible connection of the brand with the creation of special or collector’s editions of upcoming games released by Capcom. In this sense, the maneuver would be similar to what was recently implemented by Koei Tecmo, which proceeded to register the Treasure Box trademark.
