In the meantime, work on the No VR Mod continues, two years after its launch, Half-Life Alyx remains one of the best experiences ever in the field of Virtual Reality. It is therefore natural that players crave new content for the Valve title, which for the moment comes from the always active modder community.
Looking forward to finding out how Valve will officially expand the Half-Life universe, the free Levitation mod offer three to four hours of additional content for the story, complete with new animations and voice acting.
Levitation currently has one five out of five star rating out of 627 reviews, with many users particularly praising the work of level designer FMPONE. Without sharing too much about the story, the mod sees the player sent to the mysterious Section X of City 17 to investigate a levitating building where two members of the Resistance have gone missing.
You can download Levitation by subscribing to the mod through its dedicated page on the Steam Workshop. After installing the first part, Steam will automatically download the remaining four. Obviously, to use the mod, you will need a normal copy of Half-Life Alyx and a compatible VR headset.
According to the latest leaks, Half-Life Alyx will land on PlayStation VR 2 over the next year.
