In US cinemas, there was recently a big duel between Marvel and Disney, with a very clear winner.
The second trailer for the Mario movie shows an epic confrontation between Mario and Donkey Kong in a huge gladiator arena. A clear reference to the fight between Thor and Hulk in the corresponding Marvel blockbuster. The audience also gets a taste of Princess Peach’s voiceover, which, while very different from the games, is nonetheless extremely well done. The highlight for many fans, however, is likely to be the unveiling of a Mario Kart-style race, which is obviously of greater importance in the film.
