In the future, WhatsApp should let you mute notifications from a group chat with just a tap on the PC version of the app. A novelty that makes sense in view of the direction the service is taking.

On WhatsApp Desktop, muting all notifications from a group chat with a single click should be a reality in the relatively near future. As spotted by the insatiable WABetaInfo, which constantly unearths the future novelties of the application, the Meta service is working on this type of function which is still under development.
The idea is simple: in the header of the WhatsApp desktop application, a small bell would appear at the top right once said group conversation was opened. Then just click on it to mute all chat participants. At first glance, this novelty might seem trivial and unimportant.
For those allergic to notifications
Yet there is meaning behind this idea. Indeed, WhatsApp has been trying for some time to enter a new dimension by widening the limit of users present in a group conversation: long limited to 256 people, chats are then increased to a threshold of 512 participants… to soon climb to 1024 users.

The switch between his smartphone and the latter was really made easier.
This can push us to use WhatsApp Desktop more frequently, which then seeks to refine its user experience on this type of platform. For now and according to WABetaInfo, this little addition is not yet available to the general public. It should probably land in the next few months.
According to CyberNews, nearly 500 million WhatsApp numbers have leaked on the net and are for sale on a community site dedicated to piracy. The media assures that it was able to analyze a sample of data,…
