World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the next expansion for Blizzard’s online role-playing game, was released during the night from Monday to Tuesday. And it is probably now part of the fact that the launch of a new Blizzard title is associated with some problems. At the start of Dragonflight, not everything went according to plan either. Numerous players complained about server problems and more in the WoW forum.
Are streamers preferred?
The launch situation seems to be going very differently at the moment. While some players have been completing the new quests since midnight without any problems, others are stuck in loading screens or cannot connect to their server at all. It is striking that famous Twitch streamers like Asmongold had almost no problems. The community therefore keeps speculating in the forum as to whether there might be advantages for streamers here.
But we don’t know if that’s really the case. However, the topic is hotly debated and is currently at the top of the WoW forum with over 160 comments. Other posts describe Dragonflight as the “worst launch in history” or accuse the Blizzard team of incompetence because after 18 years with World of Warcraft (buy now) they still can’t get a smooth start to a WoW expansion.

More problems this year
But World of Warcraft: Dragonflight isn’t the only Blizzard game to struggle with its debut this year. When Overwatch 2 or WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic was launched, fans either had to endure long queues or were unable to gamble at all. Let’s see how the next release of a Blizzard title works.
