Xiaomi smartphones have several advanced features thanks to the MIUI interface. Some make it simpler to use. Others guarantee our safety. Now that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today. Especially since there are two different ways for anyone to access your apps on your Xiaomi smartphone. The difference is that in one of them, whoever picks up the smartphone knows they are there. In the other, you don’t even notice anything. Now the choice is yours!
Xiaomi: there are two ways for anyone to access your apps!
As I mentioned above there are some differences between the two ways to protect apps. Let’s look at the two so you can see which one is most advantageous for you.
Block apps without hiding them
This process is not very complicated and in fact it works well. This is because Xiaomi even thought about the fact that we can forget the password we choose. Still, we’ll go there.
The first thing we have to do is go to the settings.
When we are in that menu we have to access applications. Next, just choose application lock.
Now in the new window we have to click on Connect.
After introducing a pattern for this purpose, we are invited to log in to our Xiaomi account. This is if we haven’t already done so. Now here attention. It is that on the one hand it is not mandatory and we can skip this step. However, there is something important to point out. If we don’t do it, we won’t be able to recover access to the applications. This is if we forget the password.
Application blocking or in this case unlocking can also be done in another way. Using fingerprint.
When we go deeper into this mode, the Xiaomi smartphone itself gives you some suggestions about the apps that tend to be blocked the most. However, you are free to ignore these suggestions.
Meanwhile, on the other screen, in addition to blocking apps, we can also hide sensitive notifications. This is also important. It’s just that after all, blocking apps and not notifications would be a cat hiding with its tail out. In this way we are really protected.
From the moment we have already chosen the apps, we make them safer. This way you will only be able to access those who have the fingerprint configured or know the password.
Block apps but hide them
The first thing you have to do is open the Security app. Then we have to slide down to where it says Second Space.
Now we have to click on the option that says Turn on Second Space. However we have to wait a little while it created.
Meanwhile, a window will appear saying Created successfully. Then just click on Continue.
Next we have to indicate how we are going to switch between spaces. It can be using a password or using a shortcut. Honestly, the part about using a password is more interesting. This is because the PIN screen remains the same. Then what will take us to one section or another is the pin.
Then click on Continue.
In the new window we have to set the password. So just click on Define Now.
Next, all we have to do is confirm, in the first place, the password for the first space and then define the password for the second.
We can also set a fingerprint to make the switch faster. In my case, I just used the PIN. Now it’s up to you. Either set or choose to ignore.
From that moment on, you already have two spaces. In one you can have a certain type of apps and in the second space (hidden) you can have some more sensitive applications like the bank, MBWAY, PayPal, among others.
