Since last November 16th Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is entertaining players with the new battle royale experience from Activision, once again available to everyone completely free-to-play. And between one battle and another, there is the usual technical analysis of Digital Foundry.
The well-known newspaper publishes a 17-minute video that analyzes the versions in depth PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X e Xbox Series S of COD Warzone 2.0. As for the more powerful platforms, PS5 and Xbox Series X are practically equivalent in terms of resolution, textures and shadow details, also demonstrating a rather stable frame-rate in 60fps mode.
As for the 120fps modewhich Digital Foundry deems among the best currently offered by current-gen platforms Sony e Microsoft, the game always keeps between 100fps and 120fps; playing in this it should be noted that PS5 proves to be slightly more performing, with at least 10fps more than the Xbox Series X counterpart. Finally, on both consoles, the two graphic modes offer a dynamic resolution ranging from 1080p up to 4K.
Switching instead to Xbox Series S, the situation changes: in 60fps mode the Microsoft digital only console shows some tearing problems as well as slight frame-rate drops in the presence of foliage on the screen, and we note the need to resort to some technical compromises to make the resolution work better . In addition to much more numerous and consistent drops in the 120fps mode, on Series S the dynamic resolution hovers between 720p and 1440p.
