Announced last February and due later this year, Disney Speedstorm has been officially delayed. The free-to-play racing game has been postponed from Gameloft, which apparently still needs some time to refine the gaming experience before launch.
The postponement means that Disney Speedstorm, a racing game similar to Mario Kart that will make fans of Disney characters happy, it will arrive only in the course of 2023, with a more specific date that has not been disclosed by Gameloft. What the software house was keen to clarify is that it will continue to work on the product to present it to the public in the best possible way.
“We have worked diligently to create an incredible racing experience for Disney Speedstorm, capturing our vision of the exciting magic fans enjoy in their favorite Disney and Pixar characters and games,” said Gameloft. “We want fans to not only have fun, but to enjoy afast-paced, competitive racing experience they’ll be coming back to play for years to come.
With this in mind and after careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the worldwide release of Disney Speedstorm to meet our expectations and offer players a more immersive racing experiencecustomization offers, game modes and more”.
The developers will return to provide updates over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for all the news about the game. Disney Speedstorm will be released on PC and consoles PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch and will offer cross-play on all platforms.
