Grounded, Obsidian Entertainment’s great little survival that left the Game Preview phase in September to arrive in version 1.0 on PC, Xbox consoles and in the Game Pass catalog, is preparing to further grow a content-rich update.
With Update 1.1, the followers of the young explorers of the open world garden of Grounded will have the opportunity to further immerse themselves in the atmospheres of Obsidian’s survival experience thanks to the introduction of various unpublished objects.
Using theupgrade Zip.R, for example, players will be able to ‘defy gravity’ and use the cable cars created by their alter-ego to reach elevated positions. The Grounded 1.1 update will also bring an increase in the space available in the backpack inventory and a function loudly requested by all survival enthusiasts, namely the increase in the distance for collecting objects inside the crates for crafting items, artifacts, and modular base components.
The crafting system will then draw on the items in the backpack and the materials in the crates placed no more than twenty meters away from your alter-ego (a significant increase over the current 10 meters of detection of ‘speakers nearby’). Numerous new buildings will also be added, with modular parts for building your own base and traps to be set up with components found from plants and animals: there will then be changes to the Mutation system.
More details on the additions, optimizations and further surprises in this update will be shared by Obsidian closer to Launch of Grounded Update 1.1expected during the month of December on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
