This Friday, December 2 will mark the arrival of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, a new game bringing together all the icons of the comic book house. A title that is likely to establish itself as a real breath of fresh air in the industry, and especially in the world of superheroes.

Unity is strength

Games stamped Marvel, we had a string of them and many people tried to bring together as many superheroes as possible at the same time. We think of Square-Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers of course, but also of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance: titles which, alas, never really shone.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will also give it a try, but this time the game can be changed thanks to the concept of the game itself: it’s an action-tactical game, with turn-based battles coming terribly close to the gameplay of XCOM, true benchmarks in their field. And for good reason: this new software is also developed by Firaxis! Moreover, we can remember that the studio is also behind the excellent Civilization.

With fine and well thought out game mechanics as well as a real depth of gameplay, not to mention the expertise of its developers, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a good chance of making people talk about it. It should also be noted that the narrative aspect will also be very pronounced: the story will therefore oppose most of the Marvel superheroes to Lilith, a formidable demonic goddess with magical powers.

As for the cast of playable characters, we therefore find the most iconic Marvel heads : Spider-Man, Dr Strange, Iron Man, Captain America, Wanda, Blade, Ghostrider, Wolverine, Deadpool… There should be plenty to do.
