World tour starts in the summer of 2023 in the USA.
Os Nickelback recently released the highly anticipated album Get Rollin‘, via BMG. A thrilling soundscape of adventure, nostalgia and emotional exploration, Get Rollin’ continues the legacy of one of the most important rock bands of the last two decades. With a career that includes 23 chart-topping singles, 12 consecutive sold-out world tours, over 10 billion streams and over 26 awards, the band will be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame at the 2023 JUNO Awards and will kick off a world tour in the summer.
When they announced the album in September, Nickelback debuted the first single San Quentin, which generated 21 million streams. San Quentin also had a strong radio presence, reaching number one for four consecutive weeks at rock radio in Canada, entering the top 9 at radio in the United States. Amplified by punchy guitars, powerful drums and booming bass, the single was born after lead singer Chad Kroeger met the warden of California’s high security prison – the song follows as he plans a clever escape. In contrast to the album’s bold intro, the second single Those Days it leans towards the band’s more melodic side, as on several previous hits like Rockstar, Photograph and How You Remind Me, and recalls youthful adventures. The last single before the release of the album was known this week. High Time takes us on a hazy journey that reminds us that it’s always 4:20 somewhere. Balancing up-tempo sounds like San Quentin, Vegas Bomb and Skinny Little Missy, with melodic ballads like Does Heaven Even Know You’re Missing? and Horizon, the album blends the band’s signature rock sound with country undertones, ’80s influences, and more. It includes 11 tracks and was written by Nickelback, with production by Chad Kroeger, Chris Baseford and Ryan Peake.
As part of the album’s release, Nickelback performs concerts – sold out in eight minutes – at the Starland Ballroom, in New Jersey (November 18) and at Foxwoods Resort, Connecticut (November 20). Equally sold out was the band’s concert this week in Toronto. Nickelback will also headline Canada’s Boots and Hearts Music Festival in August 2023.
Nickelback’s tenth album, Get Rollin’ e Get Rollin’ (Deluxe), is available on digital platforms and in CD format. Vinyl versions are released in 2023. Pre-order HERE
