The PS Plus games for December 2022 have been announced. Once again, three games will be unlocked that can be played on the PS4 and PS5. PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be announced at a later date.
Sony has announced the PS Plus Essential games for December 2022. The surprise is quite limited for all readers who followed our yesterday’s reports. Because once again it came before the announcement to a leak.
According to this, players with a corresponding PlayStation Plus membership can receive the three games “Mass Effect” in the Legendary Edition, “Biomutant” and “Divine Knockout” in December. Some key data about the games are listed below, including the meta scores.

PlayStation Plus subscribers who have been there for a long time already know it: Immediately after the announcement, the new games for PS Plus Essential will not be available for download. Instead, players have to wait another week. With only a few exceptions, new Essential level games are generally activated on the first Tuesday of the month. In December it is also St. Nicholas Day – i.e. December 6th, 2022.
Also of note is that with the PS Plus Essential games unlocked for December 2022, the Games provided for November 2022 will disappear from the offer. If you want to play them permanently, you must put them in your personal library before the deadline.
PS Plus Extra and Premium
Since the launch of the three-tier PlayStation Plus program, subscribers at the higher Extra and Premium tiers have received game replenishments twice a month. Because in addition to the Essential collection, the other libraries will also be filled.
Two weeks will pass before the announcement of the extra and premium games for December 2022, provided Sony sticks to the current rhythm. That said, on December 14th we’re expected to learn which PS Plus Extra/Premium titles will be added. They should then be activated on December 20th.
PS Plus in January 2023
PS Plus games for January 2023 are also within reach. Christmas is just around the corner and the turn of the year is only a few weeks away.
The dates can also be predicted for the new year, since Sony usually sticks to the usual scheduling. PS Plus Essential games are released on the first Tuesday of each month and announced on the Wednesday of the previous week. The Extra and Premium games will be announced and activated two weeks later.
