Have you ever sent yourself a message to make it a little easier to send something important, or not forget anything? Well, WhatsApp will start to allow you to do this “joke” in an official way and that’s just as well, because it comes in handy.
Because? Let’s try to figure it out!
Use: This feature had already been picked up in the test versions of WhatsApp, you can find out more here🇧🇷 (Available for Android and iOS)
WhatsApp: Message yourself? Do it!
So, over the years, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve sent myself messages via Facebook, or my email client, with links, work/school files, photos, or simple memories. It’s something that comes in really handy, because it’s direct, it’s simple, and the thing is immediately available on a wide range of different devices.
Well, doing this on WhatsApp is a kind of next level to this practice. Do you know why? Conversations in this app are encrypted, so the level of security, even talking to yourself, is another.
Having said all that, if you want to send yourself a message (with images, audios, files, etc…), you just need to start a new conversation and search for your profile.
The feature is still being implemented, but when it becomes available, all you have to do is search for yourself in your contact list, either by your name or simply as “me”.
Let’s also point out that encryption is enabled by default for all conversations.
Also, what do you think about all this? Curious? Will you enjoy? Was it something you already did on other chat apps? You just have to wait for the app to update. In the meantime, share your thoughts with us in the comments box below.
