A Xiaomi is currently the third largest smartphone brand in Portugal, behind only Samsung e Apple🇧🇷 Its notable growth also places it in third place globally and, very soon, we have a new generation of smartphones to discover, the Xiaomi 13, as well as other top gadgets.
According to the brand itself, it is already next Thursday, December 1st, that smartphones Xiaomi 13 e Xiaomi 13 Pro will be officially introduced. Both will want to compete with the best iOS phones on the market, the Apple iPhone 14🇧🇷 To this end, the new smartphones from the company led by Lei Jun will bring these weighty arguments.
Top-of-the-line features to match the Apple iPhone 14
On December 1, we will discover the new range of Xiaomi 13 smartphones. It should be noted, however, that its arrival in Europe should not happen in 2022, but during the 1st quarter of 2023, as in past generations.
However, this Thursday we will have the general contours of the mobile phone, as well as all its technical specifications, main assets and brand strategy. Apparently, the Xiaomi 13 wants to assert itself against the Apple iPhone 14.
First benchmarks reveal a promising scenario for the Xiaomi 13 smartphone
The chart above, released by the brand, shows us some of the metrics already released by the manufacturer, in this case its battery and its duration. Apparently, Xiaomi will have an energy cell for 1.37 days, surpassing even the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max.
It should be noted that at the moment the iPhone Max, with greater battery capacity, is considered to be the smartphone with the best battery life on the market. Therefore, seeing Xiaomi surpass this metric will be extremely positive for the end user.
Furthermore, smartphones should remain affordable and powerful, a combo that has brought a lot of joy to Xiaomi itself. We will thus have several reinforced hardware elements, with the main one being the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, Qualcomm’s new flagship.
We therefore know that the Xiaomi 13 smartphone model will bring the following assets to compete with the iPhone 14:
1. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Gen 1 Processor
No surprise in this regard, since both brands had already made their partnership known. That is, for both smartphone models Xiaomi 13 we will find one of the most powerful processors for mobile devices on the market.
2. Faster storage read/write with UFS 4.0
This means a strong increase in the power of Xiaomi smartphones, something disclosed by the brand itself through the Chinese social network Weibo. Note that in addition to the new generation SoC we will also have the fastest internal memory standard – UFS 4.0.
The improvements extend not only to the internal storage, but also to the type of RAM memory used, not just its quantity. We will thus have better reading and writing speeds both for the RAM, but above all for the ROM.
3. Leather trim for Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro model
Thirdly, as a way of differentiating itself from the Apple iPhone 14, the Xiaomi 13 mobile phones will bring leather as a new finishing option. In this way, users will have a new way of customizing their mobile devices.
Note that this will be a faux leather, possibly available in multiple color schemes. This synthetic leather also promises to be more resistant to wear, easier to clean and with less loss of color.
4. Better thermal management for gaming performance
The Xiaomi 13 smartphone and its processor promise to deliver up to 60 fps in demanding games without raising its temperature too much. Incidentally, according to the images, we see the promise of 43.º C during game sessions.
Therefore, for those who like to play games, this smartphone model can be a good bet, showing itself to be very promising at the moment.
5. IP68 certified waterproof
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones will bring IP68 certification that guarantees them resistance to water and dust. This will be one of the biggest news for the generation of high-end smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer, greatly improving its durability.
It should be noted that this has been one of the features most requested by users, arriving now, at the end of 2022, for the next generation of top of the range Chinese technology.
6. Thin bezel and symmetrical edges on Xiaomi 13 models
Finally, both smartphones will be built in metal and glass. We also know, based on previous reports and disclosures by the brand itself, that the screen margins will be smaller for this new range.
The best of everything? We rely on symmetrical margins at least in the base model. We know, however, that the phone’s chin will be a few millimeters thicker than the other three edges. However, its appearance must be symmetrical and reveal an increased attention to detail and general aesthetics of the product.
We will have a punch-hole front camera perforating the main panel, AMOLED with Quad-HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In addition, the screen will be 6.2 inches in the base model and around 6.7 inches in the Xiaomi 13 Pro model.
Finally, we also have the launch of the Xiaomi Watch S2 watch or smartwatch, as well as the Buds 4 earphones. All these products will be launched first in China and will have global distribution in early 2023.
