Chinese studio Papergames has announced an open-world adventure game called Infinity Nikki. The project is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, as well as for mobile devices running iOS and Android. The release date is still unknown.
In Infinity Nikki, players will join Nikki and Momo in a massive fantasy world that is free to explore. The game boasts very nice graphics and very smooth animations.
Since the original Nikki series is a dress-up simulator, the new game will not do without similar mechanics. Each outfit has unique features that affect the gameplay and change the playing style. For example, in the trailer, we can see suits for gliding in the air, fishing, downsizing, catching insects, performing on stage, cooking, and more.
It is worth noting that Kentaro Tominaga, a former Nintendo employee who participated in the development of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, acts as the producer of Infinity Nikki.
