After bouncing the bombastic news of the arrival of LEGO Star Wars on Game Pass on the net, the curators of Microsoft’s green cross division dress up as Santa Claus to ‘give’ three more video games to subscribers to the subscription service on PC and Xbox consoles .
The new Xbox and PC Game Pass ‘shadow drops’ involve the indie work Eastward and the final season of the horror-tinged graphic adventure The Walking Dead: both video games are in fact available by surprise in the Microsoft subscription service starting today, Thursday 1 December.
Eastward, we recall, is a title developed by Chucklefish that drops users into a post-apocalyptic dimension full of details, with ruined city to go through and strange creatures to fight together with your alter-ego. If you want to know more about this great little indie gem, find our Eastward review here.
The adventure of the authors of Starbound can be downloaded ‘free’ on PC, Xbox by all Game Pass subscribers together with the PC version of The Walking Dead The Final Season and to the PC edition of Total Reliable Delivery Service.
As for LEGO Star Wars, entry into the Xbox Game Pass catalog is set for Tuesday 6 December. As rightly pointed out by Gabriele Laurino in our review of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, TT Games’ latest adventure is a real brick blockbuster. With his over 300 playable characters, 100 vehicles and 23 planets to explore set within massive free-roaming maps, the space odyssey from TT Games and WB Games is not ‘only’ the biggest LEGO video game ever, but also the most ambitious and longest-running Star Wars tie-in .
