At the beginning of January, Intel planned to expand the range of 13th generation Core processors. There will be a release of models with a locked multiplier and the flagship Core i9-13900KS, which operates at up to 6.0 GHz out of the box. Along with them, motherboards based on the Intel B760 chipset will go on sale. One of these new products was told by the Chinese web resource MyDrivers.
The Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 motherboard, as the name implies, supports the installation of DDR4 RAM modules. According to foreign colleagues, support for the old RAM will help the updated Intel LGA1700 platform compete more effectively with AMD AM5. The latter only works with DDR5 memory, which is still relatively expensive.
The characteristics of the Intel B760 logic set, unfortunately, are still unknown. It is expected to offer fewer interfaces than the flagship Z790, as well as cut down overclocking capabilities, but owners of LGA1700/B760 boards will be able to overclock the RAM. The official presentation of the new 13th generation Core processors and Intel B760 motherboards will take place at CES 2023.
