Speaking to IGN, Quantic Dreams’ David Cage clarified that “Star Wars Eclipse” will be a completely new gaming experience that will be distinctly different from “Detroit: Become Human”. Unfortunately, Cage left open when further details can be expected.
In the past year quit The “Heavy Rain” makers of Quantic Dream officially announce the story adventure “Star Wars Eclipse” for previously unspecified platforms.
While insiders and the rumor mill in recent months with various unconfirmed details supplied, those responsible for Quantic Dream held back so far. As David Cage admitted in an interview with IGN, the players will have to be patient a little before they can expect concrete information and impressions of “Star Wars Eclipse”.
Although there is an internal timetable for the publication of new details, until then the information from Quantic Dream is being deliberately kept under wraps.
Cage promises a whole new gaming experience
However, Cage has already elicited an interesting detail and promised that “Star Wars Eclipse” will be a completely new gaming experience and not a playful copy of “Detroit: Become Human”. Cage comments: “We’ve spent a lot of time imagining our world in 10, 15, 20 years – what would the technology be like? Do we think androids would be part of our society? To me, Star Wars is a very different setting – it’s far, far away, you know. So it will be something different.”
“Star Wars will not be a Detroit re-skin. The two games will be very different, very different, although of course we’ll also apply what we’ve learned. But it will by no means be a copy. It’s going to be a very different experience,” Cage said.
