Many a resident of Tropico would like to shoot El Presidente to the moon – but the leader of Tropico, who is of course always elected by free democratic means, turns the tables and shoots his own residents into space, not only to the moon but even to Mars. This is made possible by the new DLC (download content) for the fun development strategy game Tropico 6 called “New Frontiers”. The DLC has been unlocked for PC since today – the console versions of Tropico 6 will be able to start their engines from December 15th. Intended primarily for sandbox mode and endgame, the DLC introduces the spaceport complex that allows Tropicans to conquer space. There is a colony on Mars that will give you bonuses on your island if you send residents to the red planet. There is also a new campaign, which consists of five missions and is about the space race with other nations. Characters such as Hector Sanchez or Veronica Veneno, who you know from the past as an old hand at Tropico, are also there.

For the spaceport complex, the DLC offers nine new buildings such as the fusion reactor, a vertical farming tower, capsule houses and a synthetic food laboratory. So that ordinary residents of Tropico can also benefit directly from the space ambitions, there is also a hologram entertainment center as a new building. The DLC also includes new decorations and accessories as well as two new edicts, on the one hand to generate more money from the space missions, on the other hand to win residents as settlers for the Mars mission. The DLC for the PC version is available on Steam for EUR 14.99 and as a Steam code directly from Kalypso Media for EUR 13.99. Steam and Kalypso Media are currently offering a 10 percent discount, so you can get New Frontiers for EUR 13.49 and EUR 12.59 respectively. The prerequisite is, of course, that you already own Tropico 6 (buy now €24.95 / €14.99) (standard or “El Prez” edition).
