Expected in a few hours.
Today’s disastrous release of The Callisto Protocol on PC ruined the whole holiday for many horror fans: the PC version suffers from critical optimization problems, as a result of which it is simply impossible to play the novelty. Less than a day later, representatives of the Striking Distance studio drew attention to what was happening and commented on the situation in their Twitter.
According to the developers, they are aware that “some” users are experiencing problems with “stutters” (stuttering) on PC, and are currently preparing a patch that will improve the performance of the game. It is expected to be applied to the game within the next few hours, after which several more additional updates will be released.

The fact that the developers reacted relatively quickly is encouraging, but the lack of reviews of games before their release has already become a bad tradition of modern developers, and following it costs companies their reputation. In the end, the costs of at least pre-release testing are not as high as the profit lost due to the criticism that fell on the project.
