The final update 1.6.2 for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has just been released. The last chapter of the Viking saga should lead storywise to the already announced successor. However, there will be no new Assassin’s Creed in 2022. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is announced for 2023, but has probably had to be postponed several times internally. According to rumors, an exact release month has now been set.
When will Assassin’s Creed Mirage be released?
The 13th main part of the legendary game series from Ubisoft should bake smaller rolls again. The action takes place after Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and, after a long time, is once again set in the Orient. Instead of a huge open world, Mirage should be much more compact and focus on exploring historic Baghdad. Part 13 apparently also returns to the roots of the series in a playful way.
The smaller scope is also reflected in the price. Assassin’s Creed Mirage (buy now) costs around 50 euros for pre-orders and is therefore not considered a full-price title. If your wallet is still loose, you can treat yourself to the Collector’s Case Edition with the obligatory collector’s figure for around 150 euros.
An exact release date has not yet been set. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is planned for 2023. For the first time in the history of the game series, more than two years will elapse between the release of two titles in the main series. As new rumors suggest, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released in August 2023. This date seems to have been fixed internally, but it is certainly not set in stone.

Allegedly, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has already been postponed internally twice. The game is being developed for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but is also said to run on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Players will therefore still have to do without a pure current-gen game. If Assassin’s Creed Mirage does release in August, we’re in for a hot summer in historic Baghdad.
