As part of the Warsaw Stock Exchange event GPW Innovation Day head CD Projekt Adam Kiczynski announced that the company is preparing a new edition of the role-playing action movie Cyberpunk 2077. The game will be released again, now in version Game of the Year – Game of the Year.
The new version of Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in 2023, after the release of the add-on “Phantom Freedom“. For its release, the developers are also preparing a major Cyberpunk 2077 update. Nothing is known about the exact timing, but the Game of the Year version will be sold at “full price”.
The release of the Game of the Year Edition is a common practice for many companies and studios. In particular, CD Projekt released such a version for “Witcher 3»: The re-release was released after the release of the add-ons.
Kichinski added that the company believes in the long-term sales of Cyberpunk 2077. A new wave of interest in the game is associated with the release of the anime series “Cyberpunk: Edge Runners”, and optimistic forecasts are also associated with the upcoming release of “Ghostly Freedom”.
