After the first official trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy was unveiled at the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Disney has been quick to show fans the first official poster for the third and final installment of James Gunn’s epic Guardians trilogy. Galaxies”.
The poster shows the full cast of Guardians – Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) , Kraglin (Sean Gunn) and Cosmo the Space Dog (Maria Bakalova) stand on their new ship against the backdrop of the setting sun, suggesting that this is a farewell to the familiar crew.
Gunn said that the third installment will be the most emotional of the trilogy, and even talked about how easy it was to shoot and produce the recently released holiday special in parallel with the third installment due to the serious and heavy nature of the film compared to the light and carefree holiday fun that which also revealed some important news about the fate of the Guardians, including the revelation that Mantis is in fact Quill’s sister. We also learned that the Guardians bought Oblivion from the Collector (Benicio del Toro), adopted Cosmo, are traveling on Bowie’s new ship, and Groot has grown a lot since we last saw him in the movie.
