Grinding Gear Games has announced the next major free expansion for the isometric Action RPG Path of Exile. It’s called “Forbidden Sanctuary” and will be released on December 9 on PC and December 14 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
In addition, players are waiting for the league of the same name, in which they will have to go to the Forbidden Sanctuary – an ancient priestly enclave hidden under the Felshrine Ruins. Upon entering, you will find a map showing the next few rooms in front of you, allowing you to plan your moves ahead. Each time the order of the rooms will be unique. You can find ancient fountains that replenish part of the determination, as well as receive a curse or blessing. The sanctuary also produces gold coins called Aurus, which can be exchanged with a merchant for various items.
In addition, the expansion will add a new and more difficult Ruthless Mode to the game, two new skill gems, seven new Vaal skill gems, more than 15 new unique items, as well as changes to the balance of gems, corruption skills, monster properties, unique weapons and more. You can find the full patch note on the official forum.
