Not so long ago, information appeared on the network that the studio Certain Affinity makes a game about transformers. It is presumably named Transformers Rise and should be a first-person shooter. Now the rumors have changed. According to Tom Henderson, the Certain Affinity project ran into some difficulties and, according to sources, had to be handed over to the studio. Splash Damagewhich was engaged in PC ports of games in the series Halo and created multiplayer content for Gears 5, Gears of War 4 and Batman: Arkham Origins.
The game has also undergone a number of changes and now has a working title Fortress. Now, instead of a single shooter, we are supposedly waiting for a free online third-person game. It is created on Unreal Engine 4, and developers are guided by Destiny and similar games.
According to rumors, we are waiting for a meeting with well-known heroes, including Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Transformers will be divided into different categories – something like tanks, fighters and a support class.
As for the plot, the transformers will fight a new enemy called the Legion. These are completely new opponents, they are composed of organic and inorganic matter. The Legion’s danger is that it can turn Transformers into larger, more evil versions of themselves.
The former Transformers Rise is due out in 2023. Unless, of course, something changes again.
