It’s not even 2023 yet that visuals of the Pixel 7A have already leaked. And the least we can say is that Google did not take many risks.
The Google Pixel, never a surprise
In the world of tech, almost all brands (especially the big ones) are fighting hard against the information leaks. These can quickly ruin a well-rehearsed marketing campaign. They become inevitable as some companies involve a large number of people in their development and production.
Instead of fighting them like Apple can, Google has another plan: to leak the information themselves, well in advance, to pull the rug out from under informants. A rather particular strategy, and we can take the Google I/O conference in May 2022 as an example. While we were expecting to see the Pixel 6A announced, Google thought it was already time to swing the first visuals of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, yet expected for October.
Same thing for the Pixel Tablet, announced and shown by Google at this same conference, yet scheduled for May 2023. But it is not this kind of behavior that slows down leakers, on the contrary. And it is thanks to them that we can present to you the look of the future Pixel 7A.
This is what the Pixel 7A will look like
The range of “A” after a number represents for Google the smartphones a little more affordable models without numbers, and which are inspired by the latter by offering fewer innovations, but keeping the most important for users. A common strategy in the industry, Samsung offering the FE range, light versions of the Samsung Galaxy S. The Pixel 6A is the latest model released by Google, and while the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro have already been there for over a month , we begin to wonder what Google will do for the Pixel 7A.
Smartprix is a site that has just published high definition 3D renders of the supposed Pixel 7A. This is a common method to protect sources that provide photos by defying prohibitions. In short, whatever it is, the result is not incredible. In effect, the Pixel 7A would be exactly the same as the Pixel 6A, pretty much.
Smartprix shows us a white version of the smartphone which has a screen with a punch to house the front camera. The borders seem identical to the previous version, as well as the back of the device with this horizontal bar welcoming the other cameras. The only difference is that the Pixel 7A takes inspiration from the Pixel 7 by replacing the blackened glass on that bar with aluminum. At JV Tech, we prefer.
The rumored specs for the Pixel 7A
The Pixel 7A should be equipped with a screen of 6.1-inch Full HD+ with 90Hz refresh rate. We hope to finally see the arrival of wireless charging, unfortunately absent from the Pixel 6A. Rumors having provided for the return of a jack to connect headphones or earphones, 3D renderings show the opposite.
