Cyberpunk 2077 game news: a GOTY edition like The Witcher 3 planned for 2023?

Back from the dead this year, Cyberpunk 2077 has achieved a real miracle with the release of its Next-Gen version and the publication of the Edgerunners animated series. After this comeback, the game should welcome its first (and last) expansion. A new GOTY version, including the title and its extension, could well be in the pipes of CD Projekt RED if we are to believe the latest information.

Those who bet on the death of Cyberpunk 2077 were wrong. After a complicated launch, CD Projekt RED’s software made a resounding comeback this year with the publication of its Next-Gen version et the release of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series on Netflix.
Now that players have finally been convinced by CDPR and their latest product, the studio wants more than ever to continue its momentum and continue to exploit its license. A sequel has already been announcedbut Cyberpunk 2077 should already be back by next year with the release of its expansion Phantom Liberty.
And obviously, CD Projekt RED would have more ideas with the release of this first and last extension. The studio would like to offer players a GOTY edition, similar to The Witcher 3, which would include the game, its expansion and all the content that will have been published by then.
Cyberpunk GOTY 2023
According to Stockwatch.pl, CDPR would have expressed its wish to offer a GOTY edition by next year to its investors during a meeting. According to studio CEO Adam Kicinski, this edition would be comparable to that of The Witcher 3, which includes the two expansions of this title – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
It is the natural order of things. This was already the case for The Witcher 3 which, after receiving these two expansions, was marketed as a Game of The Year edition and has remained on the market as it is since. We can expect the same (in the case of Cyberpunk 2077).
What’s more, Adam Kicinski added that this version will be released shortly after the release of Phantom Liberty and a big update. This GOTY edition will be offered “at full price”.
