The new classic games for PS Plus Premium in December have not yet been announced. However, there is a hint that “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” could be there.
After the PS Plus Essential games for December 2022 were unveiled last Wednesday, Extra and Premium tier subscribers will have to wait a week and a half before the additional games at these tiers are made official.
But one of the new additions to the classic catalog could already be certain. Like the site Gematsu reported was briefly on PlayStation Store Product entry for “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” which was listed as “PSP emulation title”. While the entry has since been removed, it indicates that this game will be added to the PS Plus Premium Classic catalogue.
A publication date could not be taken from the product entry, so it is unclear when the title will be activated for subscribers. With the new Extra and Premium PS Plus games expected to be announced on December 14, 2022, more information on the availability of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 could follow on that day.
It would be the first classic “Battlefront” title to be added to the service. The original Battlefront and the PSP titles Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron are not yet represented.

The product description on PlayStation Store stated that the title will be carried over from the PSP version to the PS4 and PS5 consoles, along with newly added features. As a result, the title may play differently than the PSP version or some functions may not work properly.
In Star Wars: Battlefront 2, players assume the role of a Jedi and earn the ability to wield a lightsaber and wield the powers of the Force. In the course of the game it is important, among other things, to survive dogfights in classic spaceships or to land on a star destroyer and to fight on foot on board enemy ships.
