South Korea striker Son Heung-min commented on the victory over the national team of Portugal (2:1) in the final match of the group stage of the 2022 World Cup.
“I have been waiting for this moment for a long time and believed that we will succeed. I wasn’t very good at being the team captain, but my teammates always had my back. I am so grateful to them and so proud of them. They never gave up and made sacrifices for the sake of the team,” said Son Heung Min.
Recall, thanks to this victory, South Korea reached the 1/8 finals, where they will play against Brazil on December 5.
