Marvel, 2K Games and Firaxis released turn-based tactics yesterday Marvel’s Midnight Suns. And today, as usual, they published a trailer, which noted the best ratings and reviews of gaming publications. And they gave, in particular, a quote Rock Paper Shotgunwhich called the game “one of the best superhero games, period.”
Developers and publishers, of course, did not remember the less laudatory reviews, as well as the fact that in Steam the game was recommended by only 64% of buyers. Players criticized long downloads, out of sync sound in cutscenes, multiple bugs, and controversial monetization: having bought the game for $60, players have to buy cosmetics separately. And the creators reminded players the touching story of the inscription Luke Was Here. Fan of the game Luke Wiltshire, dying of cancer, dreamed of having time to play Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The game was at an early stage, but a playable build was assembled for him in a day. Luke was posthumously credited as a “design consultant”.
