The Cool Pi 4 Model B single-board computer made its debut on the Rockchip hardware platform: the novelty is a more productive alternative to the popular Raspberry Pi 4, the original version of which was announced back in 2019.
The computer uses an RK3588S processor with eight cores – four Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 each with a clock speed of up to 2.4 and 1.8 GHz, respectively. The chip includes an Arm Mali-G610 GPU accelerator with support for OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.2 and Vulkan 1.1, as well as a neuroprocessor unit (NPU) with a performance of 6 Tops.

It can decode H.265/AVS2/VP9/H.264/AV1 content up to [email protected] and encode [email protected] video. Micro HDMI 2.1 (8Kp60) and miniDP 1.4 (4Kp60) connectors, MIPI DSI interface are available for image output. The amount of LPDDR4 RAM can be 4, 8 or 16 GB, the capacity of the eMMC flash module is 32, 64 or 128 GB. There is a microSD card slot.
The equipment includes a 1GbE controller (with optional PoE support), Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 adapters (AIC8800 chip with ceramic antenna), 3.5 mm audio jack, MIPI CSI camera connector, two each US 3.0 Type-A and USB 2.0 Type-A ports, USB Type-C connector for power supply. There is a 40-pin header (compatible with Raspberry Pi) with support for GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc. The dimensions of the novelty are 85 × 56 mm.
