A Dukes of HazzardThe film is currently being shot in Hollywood, but Ubisoft is already launching a game for it (or actually for the TV template). As with the old TV series (in Germany ages ago as ”Ein Duke seldom comes alone”) you sit behind the wheel of the souped-up ‘General Lee’ and experience even funny Southern adventures amidst numerous redneck clichés.
In fact, you chug Driver– Inspired by rural areas and fulfills all sorts of standard tasks: drive to certain destinations under time pressure, chase another car or escape from the corrupt police officers. All of this is played without major quirks, but it gets annoying due to minor and mostly unnecessary niggles such as sluggish driving speed and too few overlays and, above all, always remains uninspired. Technically, the Dukes achieve upper mediocrity, the original voices ensure authenticity. It’s still never tingling – so you can play, but nobody really needs it.
Flabby “Driver in the country” blend. Technically acceptable, playfully quickly boring.
