After the Fall – Complete Edition is one of the launch games for the upcoming PS5 virtual reality headset PlayStation VR2. The new version, adapted to the possibilities of the hardware, was announced with a trailer.
PlayStation VR2 has received another launch title, even though this game is not a new release. “After The Fall” will support the virtual reality headset from day one, as announced by Vertigo Games over the weekend.
With the version optimized for PSVR2, players not only receive a technically pimped product that supports the new features of the PS5 headset. Additional content that has already been released is also on board, including the Frontrunner Season and the complaints update.
4K, 110 degrees and feedback
Vertigo Games emphasizes that the enhanced version of the four-player co-op title will achieve “an amazing level of immersion” that will shake up players while experiencing a 4K HDR display and a 110-degree field of view. Vertigo Games also added haptic feedback to give players a more immersive experience when using the new PlayStation VR2 controllers.
In After the Fall, players choose to start in a lobby with up to 32 other players and band together in groups of four before venturing into post-apocalyptic LA to take back the city. Solo assignments are also possible. The gameplay involves exploring the city in sub-zero temperatures, fending off “huge hordes”, crafting and exploring a variety of new “maps, modes, threats and weapons”.
There will be two versions of After the Fall for PSVR2, including a regular Complete Edition and a Deluxe Edition with an exclusive skin. Prices have not yet been mentioned. Interested parties can already download the title from the PlayStation Store add to wishlist.
