Elon Musk have renewed your Twitter enthusiastically, just as the Tesla and SpaceX tycoon has already accustomed us to. However, its acquisition of the social network was not without setbacks, with the purchase of advertising by Appleand other advertisers, to be suspended.
Since the executive took control of the social platform, part of the workforce has been laid off in order to improve the company’s operation and ensure its sustainability. However, in an initial phase, advertising ceased to be bought.
Apple has stopped buying advertising on Twitter
Since this is one of the main sources of revenue for Twitter, and for any social network, the scenario was worrying for the company. The action triggered some inflammatory tweets from Musk where he threw barbs at Apple for the 30% rate applied in its App Store.
The attack on the company responsible for the iPhone led Musk to “threaten” with the development of a rival platform, financed by himself, in order to bring a third player to the market, alongside the current Android and iOS.
However, at the end of the last week, Elon Musk visited Apple Park, possibly at the invitation of Tim Cook himself, with both executives talking and establishing an understanding.

Just a note to thank advertisers for returning to Twitter

Although initially the relationship between Elon Musk and advertisers was not peaceful, on the contrary, everything seems to be back to normal. In a recent tweet, Musk thanks all advertising buyers back to his platform.
Twitter 2.0 is here to stay and given this market reality, companies like Apple, Amazon and other giants are once again buying advertising space on this social network. It should be noted that the executive himself revealed this during a conversation on his Twitter Spaces in which the executive participated live in his private plane.
Amazon and Apple return to advertising on Twitter
Amazon is also planning to resume advertising on Twitter at about $100m a year pending some security tweaks to the company’s ads platform, per a source familiar with the situation. https://t.co/VWQJX4HZEp

In particular, Amazon will have invested around 100 million dollars a year to have advertising space on Twitter. However, the biggest advertiser on this platform is Apple, proving the good relations between both companies.
However, we recall the facts invoked by The Washington Post, based on a report revealed at the beginning of last week, Apple will have “spent about 131,600 dollars on ads on Twitter between November 10 and November 16. That is, much less than the $220,800 spent between October 16th and October 22nd, the week before Twitter was purchased”.
This was the alarm that led Elon Musk to personally handle the Apple case, his biggest partner and source of revenue from the sale of advertising on the social network. Now, everything will be back to normal, with several companies following the example of Apple and Amazon.
Musk guarantees the return of advertising to the social network
In short, Elon Musk, in yet another skillful demonstration of management, managed to extreme Apple’s position and, shortly afterwards, bring this valuable partner back to its dome.
In a not (directly) related note, we report on the latest revelations of greater impact made by the executive, the “Twitter Files”.
