And for this, it cooperates with companies from the island of Taiwan.
Even under President Donald Trump, Huawei Technologies was cut off from access to the services of Taiwan’s largest contract chipmaker, TSMC, and increased sanctions against Chinese SMIC made it difficult to cooperate with this contractor. As noted by DigiTimes, Huawei Technologies does not give up and intends to form an infrastructure for independent production of chips.

According to a Taiwanese source, Huawei is forming long-term contracts with manufacturers of technological equipment and suppliers of materials needed for independent production of chips. It is unlikely that the Chinese giant will be able to bypass US sanctions in this sense, but Huawei Technologies will certainly be able to master the production of not the most advanced components. In many market segments, advanced lithography is not required, but the stability of production due to its vertical integration will allow the company to develop the relevant markets at a steady pace.
