A DJI is probably the best and most known drone manufacturer of the present. Currently, it has in the model DJI Mini 3 Pro its most affordable and beginner-friendly model, presented last May. Although, soon we will have a cheaper dronealso suitable for those looking for an entry-level solution, the DJI Mini 3.
Compared to the current model, the next DJI Mini 3 will be considerably cheaper, costing €200 less than the current Pro version.
DJI Mini 3 will be the perfect drone for beginners costing less than €1000
The Chinese brand’s portfolio will be reinforced, very soon, with a new accessible product, aimed at the general public. Its name raises no doubt, DJI Mini 3, the cheapest in the entry-level range of this manufacturer that has already proven its value in the market.
Throughout this piece we place the various digital render images and real images of the product’s box, as well as an indication of its possible retail price.
Drone for beginners will weigh 249 grams and cost up to €859
Above we have one of the most important images now revealed. There we can see its price, from €859 for the version that includes the remote control, that is, in its most equipped version, according to information leaks.
Below we can also see the back of the product box, with more technical characteristics of the same, as well as some of the accessories included with this more accessible drone.
Possibly the best DJI drone for beginners with 4K recording
Along with the Mini 3 Pro model, this will be the brand’s second entry-level option. We will have, by all indications, a very similar product, but more accessible and focused on the essential characteristics and capabilities for a modern drone.
It should be noted that, like other drones under 250 grams, it falls into the category of recreational products. That is, we do not need a license and insurance to fly and capture content with the product.
In addition, compared to the Pro version whose price starts at €830 with the RC-N1 controller, €1000 with the RC controller, or €740 for just the drone, the base version will be slightly cheaper.
Note, however, that the exact price will vary by region, but you can start at €400 to €500 (only for the drone).
Longer flight time with better autonomy on this DJI drone
According to leaks, we have the following Specs for the DJI Mini 3:
Weight: 249 gramsFormat: foldable / compressibleRecording: video up to 4K HDRWind resistance: up to 38 km/h (level 5)Video transmission: up to 10 kmAverage flight time: up to 38 minutes
The list of technical specifications points to better autonomy for the DJI Mini 3 than its predecessor. Apparently, we will have up to 38 minutes of autonomy per battery, compared to the previous 34 minutes of flight (or the 31 minutes of the Mini 2).
In addition, the maximum flight speed remains at 57.6 km/h or around 16 m/s.
Reduced obstacle detection capability compared to DJI Mini 3 Pro
Apparently, the new base model will feature a less efficient obstacle detection system than the Pro model. This will be the main point of cost containment in the base model, for starters. Incidentally, it is also possible that this model does not have an obstacle detection system either.
That said, opting for lower speeds when using this drone might be ideal, especially for those just starting out.
The DJI Mini 3 drone should be presented on December 9
In time for Christmas, DJI’s new cheap drone should be unveiled next Friday, December 9th. Apparently, it will be available in different packs or Combos with different levels and types of accessories included with the drone.
In short, among the various available configurations we will have the Fly More with various accessories such as additional batteries, as well as the RC-N1 controller, or even the RC. Finally, we will have to wait for the presentation to know its official price.
