In the invocation of the seven, you will face your opponent with a deck of cards. Your deck will consist of character cards and action cards. The goal here will be to eliminate all of your opponent’s character cards to win the game.
1: In the middle is the Character area, which will be where these are played. Each player at an active characterand only the latter can use abilities.2: At the top right are the elementary dice, which are somewhat reminiscent of Hearthstone’s mana crystals. These allow you to perform certain actions, depending on the items you have. You can have some type Anemo, Hydro, Electro, Dendro, Cryo, Pyro and Geobut also Omniwhich can be considered as any element.3: At the bottom right are the Character Abilities, which indicate which abilities the active character can use. 4: On your side, to the right of the character area is the summoning area! It will accommodate certain invocations made by certain abilities that will help the player during the duel. It can contain up to 4 summons5: The support zone allows you to play support cards there. It can contain up to 4 support cards.6: The draw deck. This is where you will draw.7: This is your hand. You can have up to 10 cards in the latter.
It happens in 3 parts: Preparation > Round > Announcement. Each round is composed as follows: Dice roll phase > Action phase > Final phase
Preparation: You will each draw 5 cards to form your starting hand. You can choose to exchange any number of cards, in order to draw new ones and confirm your starting hand. You will then choose a character card that will become the active character.
Launch phase
At the start of each round, you will have to roll 8 elemental dice. You will be able to choose which ones to reroll once if you wish to have dice of the element which interests you.
Phase d’action
The first player will be chosen randomly against other human players, while against the AI you will always be first. You can use an ability, change character, use a card, change the element of a die by discarding a card from your hand, and end your actions for this round.
Phase finale
You will then arrive at the final phase. The different triggered card effects will be applied, and both players will draw 2 cards from their respective decks. Then the next round will begin!
To compose your deck, you will have to open your menu using the arcane box, to select a deck to modify. To note that a deck must contain 3 character cards and 30 action cards!
A card’s life points are at the top left of it. They decrease if the character takes damage, and it is eliminated if they reach 0. On the right side of the card is a character’s charges. Each time you trigger an attack or an elemental skill, the character gains a charge. When all charges reach their maximum, the latter can then unleash powerful elemental unleashes.
There are also other cards: Cards of equipping states and deploying states. Each character can attach a maximum of one weapon equipment card, one artifact equipment card, and any amount of equipment cards of other types. Certain character abilities can thus create states that attach to character cards. On the side of deployment states, certain abilities can create them, and they pass from one character to another if you change your active character.
action cards
There are 3 types of action cards that have different effects:
Equipment cards, which allow you to apply a reinforcement effect to one of your characters. Death of the Wolf for example increases a character’s damage by 1, and when you attack a target with 6 HP or less, you will inflict 2 additional damage. This card can only be equipped on a character using a two-handed sword.
Event cards are played to immediately trigger effects. Strategist for example makes you draw 2 cards Support cards are placed in your support area to apply their effects continuously. Jade Room for example, makes that in each rolling phase, 2 of the elemental dice rolled at the start are of your active character’s elemental type.
Elementary reactions
If a character takes elemental damage Cryo, Hydro, Pyro, Electro or Dendro, it will be affected by the corresponding element. When a card is already affected by an element, if you deal a specific type of elemental damage, it will trigger a elementary reaction. This will allow you to do more damage and eliminate your opponent faster.
